Regular Season:

Format:



37 teams are distributed into 7 groups of 4-6 teams each, grouped within 6 geographical regions (Delhi, Goa, Kolkata, Shillong, Maharashtra and Rest of India).



Each team plays the others from its own group twice - home and away - for a total of 4, 6, 8 or 10 games each, over 6 or 10 game weeks, depending on the number of teams in the group.



Each team from group Rest of India plays the others from its own group once - for a total of 3-4 games each, over 3-5 game weeks.



All matches from the Rest of India group are played as a single tournament at one venue.



Players born on or after 1 January 2000 are eligible for participation.





Scoring points:



3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.





Table order:



1. points won; 2. points in head-to-head matches; 3. goal difference in hth matches; 4. goals scored in hth matches; 5. total goal difference; 6. total goals scored; 7. draw.







Qualification for the Final Stages:



1-2 place of zones Delhi, Goa, Kolkata, Shillong and Maharashtra (A-E): qualify for the Final Stages



1 place of each group of zone Rest of India (F): qualify for the Final Stages

Knockout stage:

Format:



4 teams from the Final Stages contest the U18 League champion in a knockout format.





Semi-finals:



4 teams are drawn into 2 pairs.



Winners are decided over one leg, with extra time and penalties if score is level after regular time.





Final:



The two Semi-finals winners meet each other with the winner becoming U18 League champion.



Winner is decided over one leg, with extra time and penalties if score is level after regular time.
